I am quite aware that there are people out there who upload our scanlation on Manga Hosting Sites (e.g. mangafox, MangaHere, Manga-go, etc.), even thou it's clearly stated that we do not want you uploading it on other websites. I know this is inevitable. That's why I didn't mention anything about this before. It's futile. There will always be rule breakers but what aggravates me the most is that not only they uploaded the scans without permission but they also REMOVED or didn't include the 'Note' and 'Read Me' page which are included in the releases. In some cases, he/she/they re-arranged the pages. I assume this is a one-man job or maybe a handful of people who are familiar with each other.

I included those pages so the readers, who skip reading my notes or recruitment messages in my posts, may at least see it in a plain and more visible way, and someone might be interested in helping us. It's not like it's only for our own good. It's also for the readers. You're making it harder for me to look for scan cleaners! If this is intentional...... well, we might as well stop working on this manga so as to prevent further difficulties. Of course, I'll feel bad for the readers but I'm sorry... I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE STICK THEIR FINGER ON MY WORKS AND ALTER IT WITHOUT A VALID REASON!

I am sorry but I will not make the next chapters available for download if people continue butchering or removing some of the pages included in our releases. If it comes to worst, we will stop scanlating this manga.
On a side note, we are recruiting SCAN CLEANERS for this manga. This is written on the 'Read Me' page. Removing it will kill the purpose and it will lessen our chances of looking for scan cleaners. Thus, resulting to slower update for this manga.
I saw the update via Mangafox and was REALLLLLLLY happy for 2 reason (it was being worked on and a new group was found @ least for me) and saddened that like a lot of other works that it might not make it cause people have to f*@k it up. So from a fangirl who has been dying for YEARS to finish reading this manga, please don't stop!!

DeleteIf we think about it optimistically, them posting the scans on Manga Hosting Sites made readers aware of our group and that this manga's being worked on (like you said)... but in the end, this will affect the author negatively (e.g. sales). From what I read, this manga is licensed in the U.S. but it's not on production. That's why I/we continued this manga... Still, I wasn't planning on spreading it like wild fire and only want a few to know of this even thou I knew at the back of my head, that there'll be people out there who'll upload it on Manga Hosting Sites. That's why I put the 'Note' page... but the uploader (especially on Mangafox) removed it! ヽ(≧皿≦)ノ

Sorry to hear about that.... Seriously, some people don't seem to have the ability to read or just plain ignorant... I know some other scanlation groups have the same problem as well and there are some great manga which stopped being scanlated because some idiots can't seem to follow the rules... I do hope this won't happen to Hisho Ikuseichuu as I so love this manga but if you do stop scanlating it because of the aforementioned reason, I completely understand...

I'm sorry to hear that this is happening to you. It's things like this that kind of ruin things for those who do comply to your rules. It's also because of this that there are so many scanlation groups that are starting to create closed livejournal communities and allowing only a certain amount of members. I mean look at Attractive Fascinate,they have a lj community with about 150 members.

That's an absolutely ridiculous thing for these people to do! They have no good reason as to why they should mess with your scans, and the fact that you actually had to take time out of your day to make an announcement about this is upsetting. People should know better than to just screw around and not follow the simple rules that have been laid out for them. It's enough to make me feel a bit disgusted with the way that people just ruin things for others without another thought. If the person(s) who uploaded the scans and removed the Note and Read Me pages are reading my comment, I'd like to say: cheers to you, asshole. Thanks for threatening things that many people enjoy. On another note, thank you for scanlating the chapters you have so far. I'm praying that it doesn't come to the worst, and I'm excited for the next chapter! From, a fan that has been following Boys Love Network since before I suggested that your group make a blog. ;)

DeleteLike many fans, I'm just grateful and delighted that your group came together to share this manga series as it was "supposed" to be published years ago, but NEVER made it to print. Sensei's artwork is BEAUTIFUL and the quirkiness or *ahem* airheadness of our uke is too adorable for words alone. I appreciate your actions and can only hope that people be respectful while practicing common sense so that they will not ruin it for fans who honor your groups' requests/rules. I wouldn't be surprised if those sites have bots that are doing all/some of the work. I've read before that mangafox had a bot that mirrored stuff from Batoto! :\ Even so, they ruins everything for people who don't break rules--it's frustrating. I really enjoy reading your groups's releases so I hope you guys won't stop :( I'm barely learning Japanese so I can't read anything by myself yet ;__; Thank you for all your hard work! You guys are awesome~

Sorry for my belated reading :< They really know what they're doing, ingoring all the warning - somehow it makes me sick in the stomach. That's why I never support online reader (Except Batoto.net where the scanlators really have control in their project uploading). Not be able to download is not a big deal (Yeah it's not like we have the internet connection all the time to read it online, but for the sake of the scanlators - and to show the uploader without permission a lesson) I guess it's all for the best. Thanks a lot for your hard work. I'm looking forward to next release.

I am really sorry and upset about what has happened. I will never understand why people can't follow the rules. I hope that you will continue this series because I, like so many others, have been waiting for a very very long time to read it to the end. I am so happy and grateful that you are working on it. Please don't stop, though I realize my request may be moot. Thank you for the release. Maybe it would help to release the dl links as pdf files? Some groups are doing that and it seems to be working. I don't know. I have so little experience with these types of things. Still, I know I, myself, am a strict rule follower and hate that others destroy it for everyone else. ReplyDeleteWhat I´ve seen some of the groups to do is to release their "protected" files as pdf. Seems to work fine so far´. It might be worth considering this option;)
